What’s in the four minutes

Twelve chapters, from the home page to the admin screens.

01

Home

0:13

This is the home page, where everyone lands. Company news up top, the links your team uses every day, and a launch pad for the tools they open every morning. Adding a tool is a search away. Show different links to different audiences: sales sees the CRM, everyone sees the handbook. Below that: the activity stream, upcoming events, a quick poll, and this week's birthdays and work anniversaries. Three home page layouts. Pick the one that fits, switch any time.

02

News

0:42

Publishing news takes a title, a summary and a picture. Type a word and pick from thousands of free, high-quality photos. Feature it on the home page. Give it an expiration date, because most news matters for a season. The editor works the way a document does: links, images, emoji. For the announcements that count, mark them required reading. Each person confirms with one click, and you see how many have, with a one-click reminder for the rest.

03

Activity

1:12

The activity stream is where the day happens. Post an update, like a colleague's win, and see what's moving: articles published, files uploaded, recognition given.

04

Discussions

1:22

Discussions give a question a home. Best lunch spots near the office, which laptop to standardize on. People reply, and the answer stays findable long after the chat would have scrolled away.

05

Knowledge

1:34

Knowledge is your handbook, organized. Top-level pages with sections nested underneath: expenses, time off, IT basics, the brand guide. Same editor as news, so anyone who can write a document can maintain it.

06

Files

1:49

Files, with folders and previews for everything: videos, images, PDFs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Open it right here. Check a file out, edit, check it back in, and every version is kept. And the part people love: search reads inside the files. The word only appears on a slide, and search found it.

07

Events

2:10

Events run on a shared calendar. Lunch and learns, all-hands, trivia night. People RSVP going, maybe or can't go, and add it to their own calendar in one click.

08

Polls

2:21

Use polls for quick pulse checks with the team, photo polls included. Let people vote anonymously, and the newest poll shows up on the home page on its own.

09

People

2:31

People is the directory your team will actually use. Search by name, title or department, filter by office, open a profile: contact details, who they report to, the badges they've earned. The org chart draws itself from those reporting lines.

10

Recognition

2:45

Recognition is the feature teams end up loving most. Pick a colleague, pick a badge, say why. It lands in the activity stream for everyone to see, and the top recognizers get their own leaderboard. Add your own badges too: name them, pick an icon and a color, and build the set around what your company values.

11

Spaces

3:06

Spaces give a department, a team or a project its own corner: news, files, discussions, events, with its own members. Public spaces for things like IT help. Private spaces for the sales team. With personas, people join the right spaces automatically based on their department or office.

12

Admin

3:27

Everything you've seen switches on or off from one admin screen. Skip polls? Off. Want only moderators starting discussions? Set it here. Analytics show what people read, which spaces are busiest and who contributes most, trending over time, with a CSV export for your own reports. Single sign-on and directory sync keep accounts, titles, departments and reporting lines current from the directory you already run.

Try it on your own company.
